In May, Antonio Sanchez Ochoa was booked into the Yakima County Jail on state criminal charges. A superior court judge set bail, and though his sister had the ability to post the bail money, Yakima County refused to let him out of jail.

The ACLU of Washington and Grays Harbor County have agreed to a settlement in the lawsuit filed by the mother of a now 17-year-old boy who was repeatedly put into solitary confinement, subjected to filthy conditions, and denied adequate food while in the Grays Harbor County Juvenile Detention Facility.
